Photo Diary from Berlin

I’ve recently returned home after two weeks in Berlin, where I’ve been drinking terrible amounts of coffee, eaten brunch and veggie bagels en masse, hanging out with friends, and – of course – worked.

Julia (in above photo) I know from my first year in Paris when I was working as an au-pair. We bonded over a love for photography and fashion (at the time I was sure I was gonna work in fashion). We met at Hallesches Haus, which is one of my absolute favorite places in Berlin – a concept store in Kreuzberg where they make delicious coffee on beans from local roasteries. The space is super aesthetic and its reeeeally hard not to spend money on beautiful stationary!

Anne-Marie (to the right) I know from my trip to Nepal almost two years ago, when we were both staying at a buddhist monastery. She’s from England but has lived 6+ years in the german capital, where she works as a barista in many of the city’s coolest coffeeshops and currently pulls shots at the vegan café, Black Sheep, which is situated in Alt-Treptow.

The best brunch in Berlin is to be found at Distrikt Coffee in Mitte. I came here three times while I was in the city – First for coffee, then for the acai superfood bowl (and coffee), and finally for their yummy pancakes (and coffee). Haha.

Josephine – whom I know from Paris, and who’s actually danish – visited me during my last couple of days in the city. She grew so fond of the city that she’s actually moving there next month! Yay! (PS. the beautiful latte art that you see in above photo was served to us at the fantastic Ben Rahim coffeeshop in Mitte)
